Like many home improvement projects around the property, new Windows and Doors add a great deal of style and if chosen correctly can give your home a completely unique look.
But whilst for some properties it’s fairly straight forward to select a look and finish that is going to complement the aesthetics of the building in question, for homeowners with period or listed property, it can often be trickier to select a solution that is going to work with the traditional appearance of the exterior.
It was due to this design quandary that recently led to the owner of a stunning Northamptonshire based cottage to invest in the services of Martindale Windows for the re-fit of their new Windows and Doors.
After looking at a range of other options from local suppliers, and struggling to find a solution that enhanced his property, we helped the customer source a truly original range of windows with a selection of beautiful flush finish sash windows in Painswick Grey.
Crafted to the finest design standards, these uPVC Windows offer a completely flat finish to the exterior or the window. This offered improved aesthetics and security in the chosen colour finish (selected from over 26 different colourways) that worked wonderfully with the sandstone brickwork of the cottage.
To finish the project, we then installed 2 new Solidor Doors in the same colour scheme, combining both frosted in one door and a clear double-glazing finish in the other to add a sense of luxury to the overall look of the cottage. Each door was enhanced with traditional chrome handles and accessories.
Once complete, the windows and doors added to the period exterior of the property and worked seamlessly with the shades already used throughout the customers fascia’s and garage doors.
