Recently we were contacted by a customer plagued by a kitchen with too little storage and an impractical design. With limited worktop space and not nearly enough drawers, they wanted a full overhaul. The entire kitchen was removed, replaced, and upgraded with a bespoke kitchen development.
We developed a solution for the customer in the form of a bespoke kitchen design, composed especially to fulfill where their original kitchen fell short. We wanted this space to perform to the highest standard, so we fitted Fisher and Paykel appliances and a Perrin & Rowe hot tap. The worktop is crafted with Bianco Calcutta Quartz, ensuring dependable stain and scratch resistance.
The centre island is solid American Pippy Oak that will maintain its durability and appearance for decades. For the rest of the kitchen we used quality tulip wood, painted in the popular Farrow and Ball’s shade, “Elephant’s Breath”.
Upon completion, the customer was immediately pleased with the outcome of the project. Storage space was not only abundant, but illuminated by tastefully placed lights within and under the cabinets. The increase in worktop space exceeded expectations, and over time they settled happily into the room’s new comfortable and practical flow. As an added improvement, our layout granted these benefits while being less obtrusive to the overall space.
As well as the kitchen renovation, our customer requested we develop a conservatory for them. On their behalf, we constructed a warm roof conservatory with slate grey Tapco tiles and aluminium anthracite grey doors. Velux roof skylights will allow natural light into the room, and the warm roof design allows our customer to enjoy the openness of their conservatory while maintaining a comfortable temperature inside all year.
Underfloor heating was installed through Speedheat MK to provide efficient, effective heating from the ground up. Cold toes and high energy bills will be a distant memory in this cozy place!
With the new conservatory built and the kitchen completely remodelled, our customer now has the perfect backdrop for enjoyable evenings entertaining guests. An Epson projector and Sonos sound system provided the finishing touches to turn the conservatory into a charming personal cinema that opens into their lovely garden. From warm summer nights watching films over popcorn to winter dinner parties, we are certain that this space will be enjoyed by our customer for years to come.
